WorkPicks may earn commissions when you click links to third-party products and services and subsequently make a purchase. These are standard affiliate partnerships with software vendors.
Our commitment: Affiliate relationships never influence our recommendations, scores, or rankings. Tools are evaluated using our published methodology and scored on the same criteria regardless of whether an affiliate relationship exists. If we recommend a tool, it's because the evaluation supports that recommendation — not because of the commission.
How We Make Money
WorkPicks generates revenue through (in priority order):
- Proprietary products: Assessments, benchmark reports, playbooks, and decision tools we create and sell
- Affiliate commissions: Earned when readers purchase recommended products through our links
- Future: Consulting services, premium content, and display advertising may be added
Proprietary products are our primary business. Affiliate revenue is supplementary and will never exceed 40% of total revenue at maturity.
Evaluation Methodology
Every tool evaluation on WorkPicks uses the same 6-dimension framework:
- Capability Fit (25%)
- Implementation Complexity (20%)
- Total Cost of Ownership (20%)
- Integration Requirements (15%)
- Vendor Viability (10%)
- Industry-Specific Fit (10%)
Each dimension has defined scoring criteria and red flags. The methodology is available on our About page and will be published in full as the evaluation library grows.
Assessment Methodology
Our readiness assessments use weighted scoring models derived from industry research (sources cited on each assessment page). Assessment scoring is transparent: you can see each dimension's weight and how your answers map to your score.
Data and Benchmarks
Benchmark data comes exclusively from real assessment completions by real professionals. We never fabricate data, inflate sample sizes, or present estimates as measured results. When data is insufficient for a reliable benchmark, we say so.
Editorial Independence
No vendor has editorial input on WorkPicks content. We do not accept payment for favorable reviews. We do not allow vendors to preview or approve evaluations before publication. If a vendor disputes a factual claim, we verify and correct if warranted — corrections are noted publicly.
